How to Raise Wholesome Little Girls

About the Duggars. The Mom just has her 18th child. Am I the only one who thinks this is a little weird?
This woman has spent her entire adult life pregnant. This isn't 1750. I know the media likes to romanticise this family as being wholesome. And they do seem like really nice people.
But, I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but the parents are no longer raising their own children. Their children are raising their children. They admit as much. Each child is "assigned" another child to take care of.
So how about only having enough children you can properly love and give attention to? I feel so sorry for the oldest kids in this clan, especially the girls. They are mother substitutes and have lost their childhood.
But what do you think?
I think she is one of those people who thrive on the attention that she gets when she is pregnant and right after the baby is born, she gets to stay in bed, she is doted on hand and foot during her re-cooperation period, and the attention she gets with each new announcement that she is expecting yet another baby. Once the newness of the last baby wears off she is lost in the crowd, so what does she do, she gets pregnant again. I feel sorry for the kids especially the oldest kids because during the tv interviews they mentioned that they help mother with the babies, their home schooled too, what better way to save some money, don't have to have the school nickle and diming them for fund raisers and school supplies, money for class trips and lunches and the latest clothing styles that teens like to have, also they are not socialized with anyone but their own siblings...maybe its me but something about this just doesn't set right with me. Not to mention I think she's a some kind of nut job.
